In an age of short-term instant gratification and greed, the Geelong AFL Grand Final victory is a huge win for patience, persistance and perserverence. The Cats stuck with Bomber Thompson for 7 seasons without a flag. Most clubs (most organisations) would have booted him after 3 years or so.
